Following last Friday's webchat with Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright, Mark and Leigh will be on hand to answer your questions regarding Lincoln City including their below-par start to the season, Adrian Patulea's guilt over missing chances which may have won the Imps Saturday's game against Morecambe and the long-term success of the club's cut-price ticket scheme. The duo will also be on hand to answer any other sporting topics - and you may even wish to ask them how long it takes to record City Slickers, and the story behind Peter Jackson's amazing singing voice from the last episode. Please post your questions on this thread. All posts will be moderated for foula dna busive language and inappropriate content. |

Which led me to thinking what happened to our link up with an Asian country all those years ago? |

Hi Jonathan and thanks for your question I do remember something about a link-up with the Malaysia FA (didn't Rory May get sent over there? Remember him?) As so often happens with things like this, it fell by the wayside after a while. I'm all for getting more foreign players in though. You can find some real bargins if you look hard enough. Maybe Adrian and Janos have got some contacts in their homelands. |

Which led me to thinking what happened to our link up with an Asian country all those years ago? What they do in the showers is their own business! Puskas was a great player, one of the legends. As for the link-up with Malaysia, I can safely say it was about as much success as me trying to convince Peter Jones that a wet stick of dynamite really is a sound investment. In fact talking of link-ups, can you remember the ill-fated Everton attempt under Buckley's tenure. Walter Smith was manager and they all made their way over to Lincoln in a helicopter. Much was made of this, but how many players came to play at Sincil Bank? Erm, yes, that's right none. Link-ups are rubbish. Can't think of any good ones in this country. The only ones that do seem to work is when some Premier League club send their players out on loan to somewhere like Uzbekistan. In fact, I think sending some of these prima donnas who play in the top flight should do a stint over in Eastern Europe. A bit of bear-fighting may just toughen some of them up, especially Ronaldo. Can't see his step-overs fooling a slavering grizzly bear. |

Remember Me Any Predictions for Saturday Guys? Hello imping_along and thanks for your question Dare I say it, but I'm going for an Imps win. Why? It's about time for a start. I just feel, with the way they're playing, things are starting to come together. And surely they won't miss the same chances again this weekend. It won't be easy though. I'm amazed how Chester have improved since their dreadful start. At one point, I thought Luton were going to overtake them by Christmas! I'll say 1-0 to the Imps. |

Brilliant on Champ manager, but er, different in real life. Thought he would do a job holding the ball up but then I thought Cropper was a good player and look at the way he went. It could be crucial though having scouts out there brining in talent from far and wide but then means there is even less chance of good English players coming through. At the moment there is a presumption that because a player doesn't make it in the prem they vanish into the ether and there is no such thing as the championship etc and that too many foreigners means good english players miss out. And people say national media is premiership biased. If we start bypassing English talent we are really going to harm the national game, although that is obviously not Lincoln's concern. What might be best for us and the game is to be quicker to snap up those youth players at the top level who don't make it. This is less of a risk for us and gives them another chance. Who knows, if Wenger was wrong then the player we get could be sold back to him for a cool million. |
