THE FUTURE

I can only state how pleased I was to be told the news on Tuesday that Lincoln City are to offer me another contract to extend my stay at Sincil Bank.
However, no contract has yet been put in front of me so I await discussions to hopefully sort out my future. It is quite an uncertain time, not only for me but for other players out of contract, and I am wanting things to come to a swift, positive conclusion as soon as possible.
Without wanting to blow my own trumpet I still feel that I have plenty to offer Lincoln City. I was very pleased with my goals tally over the season particularly with me playing a part of the season in a wide-midfield role and I always feel that we will create chances in what has been a very attacking team again this season. I have also enjoyed seeing the emergence of young talent at the club. With someone of my experience I feel that it is somewhat of a responsibility of mine to try to help the young lads as much as I can.
Obviously Lincoln City is where I want to be playing my football next season although I have had contact with one or two clubs who are interested in signing me. Lincoln is where I live and as a family we are really settled here. That said the deal must be right for me.
Many people are aware of the fact that I have been running my soccer academy since October 2007.This is something that I feel very passionate about but it is very important that everyone knows that I am a footballer first and coaching comes second.Infact since the start of November 2007 I managed to score 13 goals in 31 starts ,7 of which while playing in midfield.I think that these stats back up the fact that I have been completely focused on playing for Lincoln City whilst running my soccer academy.

Although Tuesday was a happy day for me it was a sad for many other members of our squad who were told that their future lies away from Lincoln City. This sort of thing happens at every club at the end of every season but it's is never nice to hear that your friends won't be staying on.I certainly hope that they all find clubs and I'm sure they will. This also means that there will be additions to the squad. With it being Peter Jacksons first summer in the job I'm sure that he will want to bring the right players in to give the club a chance at achieving something next season.
